Logbook of the World - Privacy Policy

The ARRL's use of the Internet and the World Wide Web facilitates the operation of ARRL. Participants are best served when information they supply is kept strictly confidential, and we recognize that identity information must be handled with special care. It is therefore the policy of the ARRL that user-supplied individual information shall be restricted to ARRL staff, Officers, Directors and agents of ARRL, and shall not be divulged to third parties without the user having explicitly authorized such release. In particular:

1. Information or documentation supplied to ARRL to authenticate identity to facilitate the issuance of a Logbook of the World digital certificate shall be destroyed upon completion of the authentication process. Identity documentation shall be restricted to ARRL staff, Officers, Directors and agents of ARRL, and shall not divulged to any third party.

2. In order to facilitate the validation of licensing documentation received in the future, licensing documentation submitted to facilitate the issuance of a Logbook of the World digital certificate may in some cases be retained by the DXCC Branch. Licensing documentation that is retained by the DXCC Branch is considered the property of the submitter and the party that issued the documentation. Licensing documentation shall be restricted to ARRL staff, Officers, Directors and agents of ARRL, and shall not be divulged to any third party.
